There are days when I need a lot of help. These days seem to increase when I try to take on a few too many things. As a Mom - saying no is just not fun and I have to thank my sister for reminding me that taking care of Mommy is just as important as taking care of the babies. (or well maybe not AS important but pretty darn close!) How can I be there for the kids if I'm not taking care of my own health. So thanks to the friends and family and even my own doctor who sat me down and told me to take a chill pill this week. I will take one... as soon as I finish this executive presentation for tomorrow. If only I could win the lotto and spend all of my time with my kids and helping build Cecily's Closet. Onwards and upwards!

Today was a roller coaster day! It started off shaky with a disappointing evaluation at the Development Eval Clinic at Radys Childrens Hospital. It is hard to watch your child be tested, poked and measured on a scale that does not account for how absolutely perfect she is to us! We know this is just part of the process but it is hard not to get impacted when the results are not as promising as we had hoped for!
But then... out of the blue... Cecily started to cry and say "MaMa..." I thought I had heard it incorrectly but Marcia, the nurse practioner conducting the eval said she just said MaMa! I was so happy to have a witness for this momentous day! We celebrated this win and I look forward to hearing more MaMa... MaMa... MaMas in the future! Onwards and Upwards! Today Daddy got his first big snuggle from Cecily. She cuddled into his chest and took a nice little nap. It was nice for him to get this special time with Cecily. Every day we see her showing more and more personality! We are so excited as she starts to really see the world around her.
Noah enjoyed several Easter egg hunts... there could never be too many Easter eggs for him! He is a big fan of the Easter bunny because he found a few Hotwheel cars in his basket... I guess he was a very good boy! Today our family had a chance to give thanks for all the wonderful things in our lives. We always tell everyone how wonderful our parents are... but sometimes we forget to tell them how wonderful we think they are! They spoiled us with a delicious dinner and made a fuss over the kids so we could relax. We are ever so grateful for their support and we just hope by starting this charity that we can try and spread this love to other families. I'm exhausted from our fun day so I'll end on this note - Cecily continued her progress with sitting! She found a new toy that she just loves to sit and engage with. She pushes the buttons, listens to the sounds and tries to grab the animals as it spins around and around. The pleasure we received from watching this interaction was the best Easter present. Onwards and upwards! Everyone remembers their first kiss. But isn't the first baby kiss the best? I got my first real kiss from Cecily this week and I couldn't be happier. I leaned in to change her diaper and she grabbed my hair, then my cheek and then it happened! I felt her wet little lips and her little tongue and voila! a kiss!
