Cecily enjoyed sunbathing at the park in her very adorable Roxy surf outfit. She was too cute. I'll have to figure out how to embed pics in this blog. Everyone is sleeping now... I think I will sleep too.
Poor little kiddos are sick! Coughs, runny noses and low fevers. It sounds simple enough but what a wrench it throws in our daily events. I broke down and took Noah to McDonalds in hopes of making something fun out of the day. Mom had a coupon for a buy one get one Happy Meal and we both indulged. I tried to pawn off the apple slices but he sniffed out the fries before I had a chance :) Oh well... you're only 3 once! We had a picnic at the park and he shared his happy meal toy with a friend he made. I was proud of him. His new friend liked the toy and Noah ran back to the stroller to ask for the other toy for Gavin. I don't know what I did to deserve this kiddo but he continues to surprise me. (Don't get me wrong... he has his moments!) But most of the time his moments are in reaction to Mommy's bigger moments... Speaking of Siblings - I added a Sibling Central to the site. Check it out and send us your feedback!

Cecily has started to roll the ball to Mommy and Noah. What fun :) She likes to see it go and while she can't crawl to retrieve it - she can roll and roll and roll to get it. She is very proud of herself - but not as proud as me! Noah likes this new game because he can play, too.
Regarding the charity, we have completed our articles of incorporation only to find out the state has a 7-week delay! This was disappointing but we have a lot of work to do so we'll just keep focused on the stuff we can accomplish without the official stamp of approval. We are all sick so time to wipe the runny noses! Who knew trying to help people would require so much paper! No wonder we have so many lawyers in California. : ) As it turns out, this legal process takes a little longer than we had hoped. We likely won't be able to tackle larger fundraising efforts until we jump through all the legal hoops. This is probably a good thing given our life is pretty full!
Yesterday Cecily sat for 60 seconds according to Grammy and Grampy! Every day she is getting stronger. Noah continues to be her biggest cheerleader. He sat behind her today and said don't worry Cec... I'm here. Adorable! We are having a great day! Today Cecily sat up for 7 seconds by herself! Noah ran over to give a high-5! The fact that he celebrates with me makes my heart overflow. We are so lucky to have such an understanding son. Cecily's face lights up for Noah. I try to make her light up for me - but kids love kids and I'm just happy she's saving up her smiles for Noah. I'll take them anyway they come.
What an exciting day! I've been wanting to do something to give back to all the wonderful people who have helped Cecily and we finally have an opportunity to do it! We know this is a very small charity... but you have to start somewhere. We will be happy if this site reaches just one family! I'll be contributing to this blog daily to provide a journal of the gifts Cecily, and her amazing brother Noah, provide to me and their Dad. Onwards and upwards!
