Erin's Story
Erin is a beautiful nine-year old girl that loves the beach and spending time with her family, her older sister, Lauren, and her new puppy. Erin was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome as an infant and she is thriving on her own special path. She is is blessed to have such a caring and supportive family that encourages her love of the beach and advocates for her to ensure she receives the best care possible.
Thanks to Rudelphina at Wall Art San Diego Cecily's Closet was able to transform Erin's room into her own private beach, complete with Erin riding Shamu on a perfect wave! Rudelphina came to meet with the family for a consultation and by the end of the day she had completed this amazing piece of art! We are so appreciative of her time, energy and her caring spirit. We are grateful to be able to provide a very special place for Erin and her family to enjoy.
Upon entering the room, Erin was excited. While Erin is non-verbal, her Mom could tell that she was thrilled with the mural. She enjoys gazing at the whale from her pretty, pink bed. Erin is just one of thousands of children with special needs in San Diego. Thank you to Rudelphina, our Websense volunteers who helped with the art, and our generous donors for making her "Sweet Dreams" makeover come true!
