Sugar and spice and all things nice - that's what little girls are made of! Welcome Home Sweet Finnley! This little princess now has a beautiful room to cuddle up and enjoy thanks to our amazing volunteers at The UPS Store, Inc. Finnley was nominated for this gift by her teacher at Lindbergh Schweitzer elementary.
As we complete our 26th makeover we take a moment to pause and reflect on how we got here! It is the volunteers pictured in these photos that have made Cecily's Closet what it is today! While I know they would not appreciate me putting the focus on them - I feel someone needs to shine a spotlight on the generous, compassion, and spirited work they have done for Cecily's Closet! Thank you to Julie B., Christina H., Christine M, and Monica Y., for supporting Cecily's Closet with your hearts, minds and advocacy. Thank you for helping us receive grants from your amazing employer, The UPS Store, Inc. Thank you for rolling up your sleeves and showing us that we can scale this operation! We adore you.
And a big thank you to Matt and Mattress Co Direct. Mark has been a wonderful asset to Cecily's Closet. Mark and the team at Mattress Co. Direct have provided our frugal volunteers great suggestions and the company is always willing to go the extra mile to achieve 100% customer satisfaction! In fact, on Finnley's room there were a few little snags and the team realized the bed was still going to be too low for Finnley's Mom to lift her in and out without breaking her back. With one quick call to Mark the crew brought over a box spring - on the day of the install - and didn’t charge us a single penny!
