Princess Kayley

Hello precious Kayley! This sweet little girl is blessed with the
most grateful, supportive and loving family. Her three siblings and her devoted parents shower her with love and work hard to ensure she receives the best care possible.
We were struck with the wonderful manners presented by
everyone in this family: German , 8, Antonio, 7, Shaunessey, 4 and baby Kayley, 2. We have never been thanked so profusely or hugged more warmly! Simply put, it was joy to help this family.
Mom, Yazmin's journey with Kayley has not always been easy but she has survived with love and hope and smiles for all of her children. Yazmin had a very challenging pregnancy and the Doctors shared that Kayley had a multycitic dysplastic kidney and an echogenic bowel (the intestines were outside of her little tummy). Despite the high risks, this family weathered the storm with a strong faith that never let them give up hope.
At 34 weeks, Kayley was welcomed into the world by a C-section due to
dangerously low amniotic fluids. Despite the fear of an echogenic bowel and a larger than normal heart, Kayley was born with a typical bowel and two holes in her heart that have already closed. She is a miracle!
Kayley still has an unknown genetic syndrome but her Mommy Yazmin says, "My angel is a miracle to me
and all the tears were worth it as I have a beautiful baby and I'm thankful to God that she is here with me." We couldn't agree more!
Kayley and her family have a heavy load caring for a child with multiple medical issues and three other children. Despite the multiple appointments with 7 or more specialists, the constant physical, occupational and speech therapy visits, and the ups and downs associated with a child with demanding medical concerns this family is working together to ensure success for all of their children.
We hope this new retreat will bring Kayley and her supportive family nothing but sweet dreams! We were so happy to hear how much the children enjoyed the new room and that the legos for the boys made up for the very pink room! This deserving family is very grateful for the supportive services they receive from the HOPE infant program. They are grateful for Kayley's teacher, Jenny, and the entire team who come to their home to ensure Kayley is receiving the services she needs to achieve her full potential.
Thank you to Mattress Company Direct for the beautiful furniture for this makeover! The trundle bed with built in storage provided the perfect way to conserve space and provide organizational help to this family! The new queen bed was even prettier in person and the dining room table was absolutely perfect! We really enjoy working with you on our room makeovers and we appreciate your generosity to families with developmental disabilities in San Diego.
And last but certainly not least - thank you to our team for their hard-work on this makeover. Thank you Julie D., Christina and Julie B., for your constant support.
Thank you to everyone for making Kayley's Sweet Dream makeover come true! We're proud to have completed our 33rd makeover!
