Cecily performed in her third (I can't believe it was her 3rd!) riding show last night. There are very few things I love more than watching Cecily's face light up as she interacts with her favorite horse, Blue Bell. She just loves going to the ranch and she is completely and totally at peace here. She is a different child when she is surrounded by her favorite animals. You can see her happiness and feel her spirit as she struts, dances, and runs around the ranch like she owns it!
Cecily rode so well and so stong during her performance. She soaked in all the attention and got a really big kick out of watching Mommy ride on Blue Bell's friend, Decklyn. Noah and Cason enjoyed the show - and playing the games, petting the horses and sneaking more cookies than I had realized!
Thank you to Ingrid Mourey and the Poway Therepeutic Riding Center, POVA, for all of their hard-work to not only put on this event - but to help children achieve their goals. We credit this program with helping Cecily walk - but it has done so much more than that! It is a gift to Cecily and our family.
