For Immediate Release: Sweet Dream Room Makeover Event for
Children with Special Needs
What:
On 8/8/13 Cecily’s Closet will embark on a mission to provide 8 room makeovers for children with special needs in San Diego. Room makeovers will be provided by 8 teams comprised of community volunteers from various local
and corporate businesses.
Each team will receive $800.00 dollars from Cecily's Closet. 8 Project Managers and 8 contributing artists from Cecily’s Closet will be assigned to help the teams complete this mission of giving! Teams are encouraged to fund raise for their rooms to go above and beyond the designated budget to ensure every Sweet Dream Makeover is spectacular!
Who:
To date, we have 3 corporations, 2 local busiensses and 1 non-profit signed up to participate. We will continue to recruit until we have 8 teams participating.
When:
Teams can begin work on the project starting 8/8/13 through Sunday evening 8/11/13 8/15/13 at 8pm. Teams have 8 days to complete their project! Rooms will be professionally painted by PaintGreen!
Where:
San Diego County - North, South, East and West - any child with special needs
living within the county limits is eligible!
How: Room makeover candidates can be nominated online via the Cecily’s Closet Sweet Dream Room Makeover registration site. All candidates will be vetted and accepted participants must agree to media coverage as part of this
program.
Why:
This day of giving will serve the purpose of completing 8 of our 12 makeovers planned for 2013. It will also demonstrate to the community that anyone with the passion to make a difference can truly transform a space and make life better for children with special needs in the community.

Cecily's Closet provides assistance to children with special needs in San Diego by offering the following services:
Room Makeovers – decorative and sensory inspired makeovers for children with developmental disabilities that spend significant time at home.
Durable Medical Equipment Recycling – recycling of gently used medical supplies and equipment for children in need.
Protective Belly Bands - free belly bands to help protect children with gastronomy feeding tubes. Comfy for kids; priceless for parents;
and FREE to anyone in San Diego!
